Go Fish!

I had fun drawing all the fish for this comic, but it ended up being more about the format and visuals than the narrative. I'll chalk it up as a learning experience, because I started drawing the comic before I came up with the dialogue—I was in an "I'll think of something later" mind set. Even though the humor fizzles, I still think there's something worth while about it.

Bob,

This has to be my favorite piece of these two guys. It looks like you had lots of fun with the "Creatures of the Deep". I like the fact you did the depths in green, not blue. The green gives it a creepier feel. Nice work.

-Cheers,

Jim

I love this thing. The two-headed turtle is especially funny.

Hah! - looks like they're about to get a pretty big nibble. It's funny to see a comparison between the small of "on-shore" reality and how great and powerful creatures really are under all that water... we just can't see them from plain view.
(Funny to me mostly because when I was jet skiing, all I could think of when we went too far out was how I was going to be gobbled by a shark, hehe)

Love it.

Thanks everyone. It's nice to get so much positive feedback. My plan going in was to have a narrative on top with the two characters...and then all the fish below as a subcomic. But then I just started having fun drawing all the fish and neglected the story. In the end, every idea I thought of seemed forced and too much like a comic-strip (4 panel gag). So I decided to let the fish carry most of the weight, and gave up on the characters. Which I guess I thought was kind of a cop out. But you're right, there's still something fun about it.

Hey Bob! Thought I would peek in... I love this one, and my opinion is that this is better not being dialog-heavy.
